Arsene Wenger: Champions League win gives Arsenal conviction


Weapons store's triumph over Bayern Munich will raise conviction at Emirates Stadium, says Gunners supervisor Arsene Wenger.

Wenger's side had lost their initial two Champions League amusements yet objectives from Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil saw them beat the German champions 2-0.

They stay base of Group F before an outing to Munich on 4 November yet can go top of the Premier League on Saturday.

"We had a flat out need to win and we did it in an exceptional, restrained diversion," said Wenger.

"It can reinforce our conviction and the conviction of fans."
