Sepp Blatter 'had courteous fellow's understanding' with Michel Platini

Fifa president Sepp Blatter says he had a "man of his word's assention" with Michel Platini over the £1.35m installment he made to his Uefa partner in 2011.

Blatter, 79, confronts a criminal examination over the installment, made nine years after Platini, 60, completed interview work for the Swiss.

Both men deny any wrongdoing.

"It was an agreement I had with Michel Platini, a man of his word's assention that was completed on," Blatter told Swiss supporter RROTV.

Football's reality overseeing body Fifa has forced a 90-day suspension on Blatter and Platini while debasement cases concerning the installment are researched.

Previous France worldwide chief and mentor Platini says the cash was an unpaid extra pay due from the time he served as Blatter's counsel somewhere around 1998 and 2002
