Open For Free As Nine UK banks launch fee-free accounts

Nine High Street banks and constructing social orders in the UK are to dispatch fundamental ledgers which won't charge an expense for missed installments.

The new records will be accessible from 1 January to individuals who neglect to fit the bill for a full current record.

It takes after an understanding between the Treasury and the business in December a year ago.

Nine million fundamental record holders will now not be charged for missing an immediate charge installment, or a standing request.

Beforehand they may have paid up to £35 per fizzled installment, some of the time pushing them into an overdraft, so expanding the charges further.

"One bank charges £150 a quarter, and such expenses can be represent the deciding moment for a few individuals," said Kevin Mountford, head of keeping money with Moneysupermarket.com.

"It will be something worth being thankful for if some of these extortionate expenses are annihilated."
