The New York Knicks' Cleanthony Early was burglarized and shot Wednesday morning in Queens, police said.

Early was shot once in the left leg and was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center in stable condition, powers said.

Taking into account preparatory data, police said it seemed Early had quite recently left a courteous fellow's club around 4:30 a.m. at the point when three vehicles encompassed the taxi he was in and a gathering of individuals - no less than one of whom was equipped - requested him to escape the vehicle. Early gave over his gold chains before he was shot, police said.

No suspects have been captured in the episode. An announcement from the Knicks said the group knows "of what happened with Cleanthony Early toward the beginning of today and are mitigated that he is not in an existence undermining circumstance.

"We won't remark any further until we get more data," the announcement included.

Early, who played school ball at Wichita State, hasn't see much playing time with the Knicks this season. He's averaging not exactly a point for each amusement.
