Previous National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (Rtd) has lost his offered to stop his trial.



Equity Ademola Adebiyi, in his decision, held that the previous NSA did not take after legitimate procedure in documenting a hatred charge against the government.

As indicated by him, it is strange for Colonel Dasuki to ask that the charges brought against him be dropped for reasons not profound.

Colonel Sambo Dasuki, had on March 3, likewise asked a Federal High Court in Abuja to stop his trial. He additionally requested that the court put aside the criminal allegations of unlawful ownership of guns brought against him by the Federal Government.

Dasuki told the court that the Federal Government no more has good and lawful rights to proceed with his trial having defied the request of safeguard allowed him since Nov 3, 2015.

The Court rejected his application as the trail judge, Justice Peter Affem, held that as opposed to the application by Colonel Dasuki, it was the Department of State Services (DSS), which was not a gathering in the suit that captured Colonel Dasuki and not the EFCC.
