A Briton who attempted to snatch a cop's weapon at a Donald Trump rally in Las Vegas said he needed to shoot the US competitor, court papers say.

Michael Steven Sandford, 20, did not enter a supplication when he showed up in the witness of a judge in Nevada and was remanded in authority until a hearing on 5 July.

He is accused of a demonstration of brutality "on confined grounds".

He had supposedly attempted to grab the firearm subsequent to stating he was looking for Mr Trump's signature at Saturday's rally.

He said he had been wanting to attempt and shoot Mr Trump for around a year yet had chosen to act now since he at long last felt sufficiently sure to do as such, court papers say.
