Nigerian general imprisoned over Boko Haram assault on Baga

A military court in Nigeria has sentenced a general to six months in prison for his association in one of the armed force's most noticeably awful annihilations by Boko Haram.

Gen Enitan Ransome-Kuti was sentenced coming up short in his obligations when Islamist activists assaulted the north-eastern town of Baga in January.

Scores of regular folks were murdered when Boko Haram overran the town and seized substantial amounts of weapons.

The general originates from an observed Nigerian crew. His uncle was the late Afrobreat legend Fela Kuti.
