Syria leader in surprise visit

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad has gone by Moscow on his first abroad excursion since the common war softened out up his nation in 2011, state TV says.

Amid the astonishment visit, he held chats with President Vladimir Putin.

Russia propelled air strikes in Syria a month ago against the alleged Islamic State and other activist gatherings doing combating Mr Assad's strengths.

Mr Assad said Russia's contribution had ceased the spread of "terrorism" turning out to be "more far reaching and destructive".
