Kuwait has captured individuals from a charged cell blamed for supplying assets and weapons to the purported Islamic State (IS)


A Lebanese national named Osama Khayat supposedly admitted to purchasing ammo and rockets for IS, said the Kuna state news office, refering to the inside service.

Five others had been captured, the report said.

In June, 27 individuals passed on after an assault on one of Kuwait's most established Shia mosques.

It was the deadliest bombarding in decades in the dominatingly Sunni Muslim nation. A partner gathering of IS calling itself Najd Province said it completed the assault.
