IMF boss Christine Lagarde is to stand trial in France

IMF boss Christine Lagarde is to stand trial in France for charged carelessness over a €404m ($438m; £294m); installment to a representative in 2008.

She was account pastor in President Nicolas Sarkozy's administration at the season of the pay grant to Bernard Tapie for the offer of a firm.

Mr Tapie bolstered Mr Sarkozy in the 2007 presidential race.

Ms Lagarde's legal advisor portrayed the court's choice as "inconceivable", and said the IMF manager would bid.

In an announcement she said she had "dependably acted in this undertaking in light of a legitimate concern for the state and in admiration of the law", as per AP.
