US on-screen character Patty Duke, who won an Oscar for playing Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker in 1963, has passed on matured 69.

And additionally a best supporting Oscar, Duke won an Emmy in 1980 for playing Helen Keller's educator in a TV motion picture.

Duke likewise featured in The Patty Duke Show in the 1960s in which she played the parts of "indistinguishable" high school cousins.

She was the mother of performing artist Sean Astin, who played the hobbit Sam in the Lord of the Rings set of three of movies.

Her delegate, Mitchell Stubbs, said in an announcement that she had kicked the bucket at an early stage Tuesday of sepsis from a burst intestine.She experienced a heart sidestep in 2004.

Mr Stubbs said: "She was a wife, a mother, a grandma, a companion, an emotional wellness advocate and a social symbol. She will be remembered fondly."
