A court in Nigeria has sentenced a previous nearby MP to 154 years in prison for debasement and government evasion.

Gabriel Daudu, from focal Kogi State, was discovered blameworthy of 77 charges, Nigeria's against defilement body says.

However, the judge decided that the sentences would run simultaneously, which means Dauda will just put in two years in prison.

Debasement is endemic in Nigeria thus far the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has just figured out how to secure a modest bunch of feelings.

President Muhammadu Buhari won races a year ago, encouraging to handle the problem.A number of unmistakable authorities from the past government have been captured and put on trial, however some blame the president for just focusing on the resistance.

The EFCC says Mr Daudu, who was put on trial in 2010, was included in washing about $7m (£5m).

Conveying the judgment in Kogi state capital, Lokoja, Justice Inyang Ekwo said the abuse had "demonstrated its case past each sensible uncertainty", the EFCC said in an announcement.

It is not quickly clear whether Dauda will advance against the decision and whether any of the stolen cash was recuperated.
