Everton claimed three consecutive Premier League victories for the first time since 2021 as they saw off Chelsea at Goodison Park.

Sean Dyche's team moved four points clear of the relegation zone in the second half thanks to first-time goals from substitute Lewis Dobbin and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

It was a tight and tense first half with Jordan Pickford making respectable recoveries to deny Enzo Fernandez's scratching shot and Cole Palmer's plunging drive from range.

Jack Harrison's gymnastic volley which flew barely wide was Everton's most respectable open door in the initial period and Dwight McNeil constrained visiting goalkeeper Robert Sanchez into a brilliant stop toward the beginning of the last part.

Chelsea's assaults were separating in the last third and they were rebuffed on the break as Doucoure crushed in and Dobbin smacked home in stoppage time for the in-structure Toffees.

The misfortune is Chelsea's seventh in the association under Mauricio Pochettino this season, dropping them two spots to twelfth in the table
