Prince Harry wins phone-hacking trial against UK’s Mirror Group Newspapers, awarded $180K

London's High Court controlled in Sovereign Harry's approval in his telephone hacking body of evidence against Mirror Group Papers (MGN) on Friday.

The Duke of Sussex was granted $180,000 for harms for 15 of the 33 articles being referred to.

In light of the decision, Harry's legal counselor David Sherborne read an explanation from the imperial — who was absent — beyond the court.

"This case isn't just about hacking, it's about a fundamental act of unlawful and horrifying way of behaving, trailed by smoke screens and obliteration of proof, the stunning size of which must be uncovered through these procedures," the lawyer read.

The statement continued, "I hope that the court's finding will serve as a warning to all media organizations that have employed these practices and similarly lied about it."

"Based on my belief in our need and collective right to a free and honest press, my commitment to seeing this case through."
