Vagrant emergency: More than 70 bodies found in Austria lorry

Austrian authorities now say more than 70 bodies, suspected to be vagrants, were in a surrendered lorry found on a motorway.

They initially evaluated that between 20 to 50 individuals kicked the bucket in the vehicle, found close to the Hungarian outskirt.

Police found the decaying bodies on Thursday morning in the wake of being sent to explore the dumped lorry on the A4 motorway heading towards Vienna.

The nearby police boss said it showed up those in the vehicle had been dead for one and a half to two days.

The casualties were likely effectively dead when the vehicle crossed into Austria from Hungary, powers said.

The vehicle was towed to a traditions building with refrigeration offices in Nickelsdorf on Thursday.

Criminological groups worked during that time to inspect the bodies.
