President Buhari: I Will Conquer Boko Haram


President Muhammadu Buhari has repeated his dedication to completion rebellion in Nigeria, saying it is 'an errand that must be done'.The President likewise gave conditions under which the administration would arrange with the Boko Haram terrorists.

He told columnists in Abuja on Friday that 'unless there is a confirmation that the kidnapped Chibok young ladies are alive' he would not go into any arrangement with any gathering or persons fronting for the Boko Haram.

The more than 200 young ladies were taken from their school's quarters on April 14, 2014 by individuals from the Boko Haram order.

The President recharged his promise to overcome the guerillas, saying that the Nigerian Armed Forces will crush the Boko Haram by December this year.

President Buhari said: "When the dry season comes, which is before the year's over, Boko Haram will for all intents and purposes be out of their principle fortresses and that will be their waterloo".

In the previous couple of months, Boko Haram has wreaked devastation on inhabitants of the north-east, especially in Borno State, leaving some dead, yet the President said that there was still trust, as the Army had been sufficiently activated to seek after the war against terrorism.

He said that if the Boko Haram was not vanquished in December, he would not leave, but rather that he would stay and battle it out.
