Armed force Reviews Death Sentence For 66 Soldiers To Jail Terms

The Nigerian Army has driven judgment on account of 66 officers sentenced to death by terminating squad in January and March this year by particular General Court Martials.

The officers will every now serve 10 years in jail and the sentence is to run simultaneously.

As per the Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman this choice took after a request by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, to look at the value of every case.

The warriors were a piece of seventy-one fighters summoned on a few check charges including criminal connivance, scheme to carry out insurrection, disobedient conduct and false allegation.

They were attempted and released on a few charges yet discovered blameworthy and indicted on different charges including rebellion.

Five others were released and vindicated while one was sentenced to 28 days in jail with hard work.

The instance of alternate warriors are as yet being investigated and the Army says it will be made open once the fitting surveys are finished.
