Real Madrid: Rafael Benitez on the "crusade" against him

Real Madrid administrator Rafa Benitez accepts there is a "crusade" against him and the club.

Various surveys in Spanish media have shown fans might want to see Benitez, 55, supplanted at the Bernabeu.

His side go into Wednesday's meeting with Real Sociedad third in La Liga, two focuses behind pioneers Barcelona who have a diversion close by on their opponents.

"Everything that is interested in feedback is censured and that which is not is controlled," Benitez told correspondents.

"What is clear is that there is a battle against Florentino Perez, against Real Madrid and against the director.

"Reviews are completed constantly and the media's enthusiasm for doing them is a piece of their enthusiasm for controlling things".

Spanish productions AS and Marca gathered information in which Zinedine Zidane - as of now mentor of Real Madrid's second string - was the reasonable first decision to oversee Los Blancos.
