Naval force SEAL gets Medal of Honor for prisoner salvage

Naval force SEAL Edward Byers got the Medal of Honor on Monday morning for his part in protecting an American non military personnel being held prisoner by Taliban agitators in Afghanistan.

President Barack Obama recompensed Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator Byers the country's most astounding award for valor in battle, while bringing up that just five different SEALs had gotten the honor ever before.Ed is characterized by a profound feeling of quietude, he doesn't look for the spotlight, truth be told he disregards it. He's the quintessential calm proficient," Obama said amid the White House function. "Today's function is genuinely novel - an uncommon open door for the American individuals to get a look at an extraordinary type of warrior that so regularly serves in the shadows."

The White House had already highlighted Byers' "fearless activities" and "sacrificial administration" amid the December 2012 operation. Obama portrayed the experience as including "hand-to-hand battle" with different enemies.
