(Reuters) - Tiger Woods appeared to be "exceptionally sound" when he went to a supper party at the home of Jack Nicklaus, the 18-times significant champion said on Sunday.
Nicklaus and wife Barbara facilitated the social occasion for United States Ryder Cup hopefuls at their Florida home on Thursday, while the players were around the local area for the PGA Tour Honda Classic.
Woods, who has not played intensely since August, was there in his ability as a Ryder Cup associate chief. "He looked great," the 76-year-old Nicklaus told columnists on Sunday.
"He looked extremely sound and he truly misses playing. So that is great. "He says he was feeling awesome, and he could remain over a putt and chip now without having any leg torment et cetera. We didn't generally talk a ton about it."
Regardless of the peppy remarks, Nicklaus said an arrival to rivalry was not fast approaching for Woods, who experienced back surgery in September and had a subsequent system the next month.
There was a media report as of late that Woods had experienced a difficulty his latest surgeries, and couldn't move well.
Woods reacted by conveying a video that demonstrated to him easily swinging a nine-iron in a golf test system. "He doesn't have a timetable for returning or anything," Nicklaus said.
Woods, 40, has won 14 noteworthy titles, second just to Nicklaus.
