So Painful: US Ambassador To UN, Samantha Power Apologizes For Convoy Killing Cameroon Boy Mistakenly

The US envoy to the UN has communicated her "awesome distress" after her motorcade unintentionally hit and executed a seven-year-old kid in Cameroon.

Samantha Power was in Cameroon to show US support for the battle against activist Islamist bunch Boko Haram when the mischance happened on Monday.

She said she met the kid's family to offer "significant sympathies".

A heavily clad jeep thumped the kid as he attempted to cross a street when the caravan was heading towards a displaced person camp.
