Prince Harry isn’t laying low after being shot down by Emma Watson (sigh). The royal made his way to the northern most point of England for two very different, but very important engagements.
The 30-year-old prince paid a visit to the Northumberland Wildlife Trust to learn about their Red Squirrels Northern England project, which works to conserve the endangered species’ population and oversee grey squirrel control.
After taking in the natural beauty, Prince Harry dropped by Avondale House in Byker, a project that provides high-quality housing for military veterans. There, he spoke with former soldier Peter Foggin, who described the royal as “one of us.” He said, “He came in here and was just like one of the lads, he has been through the same stuff as us.
