A previous Minister of Interior in Nigeria, Mr Abba Moro, has been summoned on a 11-number charge of development expense extortion, IRS evasion and rupture of Public Procurement Act to the tune of 676.6 million Naira.

The previous Minister was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday under the steady gaze of a Federal High Court in Abuja.

Others being charged close by Mr Moro for their parts in the Immigration enrollment practice that killed no less than 20 work seekers the nation over are the Permanent Secretary of the service at the time, Anastasia Daniel-Nwobia; a Deputy Director in the Ministry, F. O Alayebami; one Mahmood Ahmadu (everywhere), and the contracting firm given the enlistment work, Drexel Tech Nigeria Limited.

Mr Moro and his co-denounced persons argued not-liable to the charges.

Having taken their supplication, the denounced persons endeavored to move their safeguard application, yet insight to the EFCC told the court that it was not ready for hearing, since he was just served on Friday and would require time to answer.

They are showing up in court after over a week in care of the EFCC.

Mr Moro and his co-denounced all entered a not-blameworthy request to 11-number charges of extortion.

Having taken their supplication, the charged persons endeavored to move their safeguard application, yet advice to the EFCC told the court that it was not ready for hearing, since he was just served on Friday and would require time to answer.

The court, in any case, obliged the request of Chris Uche, who is the advice to Ms Anastasia Nwobia, to extend the managerial safeguard conceded to her pending the hearing and determination of their safeguard application in light of the fact that she is a nursing mother.

Equity Anuli Chikere, be that as it may, remanded the previous pastor and the Director of Procurement in the service, Mr Felix Alabayemi in jail guardianship until March 2, when the safeguard application would be listened.

The EFCC blamed the respondents for duping 676,675 Nigerian candidates of more than 670 million Naira.

In 2014, the Nigeria Immigration Service, under Mr Abba Moro's watch, composed an enrollment practice across the country around the same time and because of the gigantic group, authorities of the Immigration were not able successfully control the group.

This blunder prompted the passing of the youthful graduates and the previous President, Goodluck Jonathan, requested an examination concerning the circumstance, a report which is yet to be made open.
